As a result, the bulk of the funds raised go directly to benefit the children of Zambia. Construction costs are the largest item, with over £325,000 spent to date. A reserve for operating costs has been set aside, but the school needs more funds to continue construction of much needed facilities, including a 3 classroom block plus science lab so that students can complete grade 12 at Shitima.

Zamcog currently spends around £300 per year to feed, clothe, shelter and educate each child.
